When I Die, Celebrate

When I die, do not cry

Celebrate my legendary

Do not mourn when I depart this life

Do not cringe or fear my words tonight

I will die in my old age, full of grace

Gray hairs and wrinkles telling stories of this place

My teeth may be sparse, my body worn and scaled

But my spirit will shine, I will not have failed

I'll wave at my great-grandchildren with pride

A hero departing, stepping into the light

When I die, celebrate my legendary (hallelujah)

Throw a party if you can (praise Him)

Do not cry, do not mourn, do not fear

My soul goes to God, the Maker so dear
