Breaking the Cycle

Almost there, but I'm breaking free

Psalm 23, that's my victory

I've been walking on this narrow road so long

Always reaching, never quite belonging

Stuck between the promise and the pain

Almost there became my chain

But the Lord is my shepherd, He knows my name

No more settling for almost, I claim His grace

Every fear that held me back is fading now

I'm stepping into all He's called me to somehow

I'm breaking the cycle of almost there

Leaving my doubt and my despair

Psalm 23 is my declaration

I lack nothing, that's my foundation

I'm breaking free, I'm breaking through

The Shepherd's leading, and I'm following true

Almost is over, praise Him

Yea, though I walked through the valley dark and deep

He was there when I had no strength to keep

His rod and staff, they comforted my soul

Now I'm rising up and taking back control

No more waiting at the threshold of my dreams

No more wondering what it could have been, it seems

I'm seated at His table, enemy in sight

My cup is overflowing, everything's right

I'm breaking the cycle of almost there

This is my moment, this is my hour

Feel that settling, don't understand

Why the promise feels so far away

Listen to what the Shepherd has to say

You lack nothing, you are whole and complete

His grace is sufficient, His love is sweet
