In the game of life, we all play our part,

Many players on the field, each one got a role,
Strikers, defenders, keepers—everybody got a goal,
Some take yellow cards, some take red,
Some play it clean, some filled with dread,
Penalty kicks and corner shots,
Some convert their chances, some got naught,
Every player got opportunity,
But only some can truly see,
How to use the gift they're given,
How to play, how to be livin'.
In the game of life, hallelujah, praise Him,
Winners celebrate, losers learn to face Him,
One God, one ball, one world unified,
Some with trophies, some with tears they cried,
Yes Lord, injuries come, relegation too,
But glory waits for those who stay true,

Some become celebrities on the pitch so bright,
Some retire empty-handed, full of regret and might,
Clubs and owners, fans and crews,
Referees and coaches with the news,
Camera rolling, world stands still,
