Oh Lord, don't let us pass them by.
Another brother fallen, by the roadside,
Wounded in spirit, no voice, no guide.
Many pass by, refusing to see,
The world is crying out, who will set them free?
So much outward show, but where is the heart?
Much liturgy, playing a hollow part.
God is calling us, to wake up today,
It's not just talk, we must live what we say.
Good Samaritan, don't you pass them by,
Hearts are broken, wounded, left to cry.
"Who is my neighbor?" Jesus showed the way,
It's whoever needs heaven's love today.
Good Samaritan, heed this urgent call,
Inequality's a sin that makes us fall.
God is searching now, in every generation,
For a heart of mercy and deep compassion. (Amen!)
Some tables overflowing, while others starve for food,
Some homes are closed off, when someone needs what's good.
Empty hands reaching, pleading for care,
While others hold fast, unwilling to share.
Pain doesn't choose class, nor a place to reside,
But those who fear God must stand by their side.
Heaven seeks those who serve with their might,
Who see the fallen and rush to their light. (Hallelujah!)
Good Samaritan, don't you pass them by,
Hearts are broken, wounded, left to cry.
"Who is my neighbor?" Jesus showed the way,
It's whoever needs heaven's love today.
Good Samaritan, heed this urgent call,
Inequality's a sin that makes us fall.
God is searching now, in every generation,
For a heart of mercy and deep compassion. (Praise Him!)
If we close our eyes to those in despair,
We've lost what spirituality means, I swear.
If we know all the scripture, but fail to impart,
We haven't learned truly how to serve with heart.
Good Samaritan, don't pass them by,
God is glorified when we wipe a tear from an eye.
Love the fallen, please the Father above,
Live the Gospel, spread His endless love! (Yes Lord!)
