Shadow of Sin

Every step I take, it follows me

Lord, I need Your strength to set me free

I'm trying to walk straight but I stumble in the dark

This battle in my soul is tearing me apart

I reach out for Your light but the shadows pull me down

Every time I rise up, temptation comes around

I know Your love is real, I feel it in my chest

But this war inside my mind won't let me rest

Sin is stalking me like a shadow in the night

I'm drifting from Your presence, trying to hold on tight

Every step I take, it whispers in my ear

But I'm calling on Your name to cast away this fear

Lord, break these chains and draw me near

I see the path You laid but my feet keep slipping back

The enemy is patient, always on attack

I'm weak but You are strong, I'm lost but You can find

The broken pieces of this weary heart of mine

I won't give up the fight though the darkness feels so close

Your grace is what I need, yes Lord, I need it most
