The

Other

Side

of

Life β€Ž β€Ž

Theme:

What

happens

beyond

what

we

can

see,

and

how

should

we

live

today? β€Ž

Life

has

two

sides:

what

we

see

now

and

what

comes

after

this

life. β€Ž

We

see

houses,

cars,

money,

careers,

sickness,

success,

marriage,

struggles

and

celebrations.

But

there

is

another

side

that

the

natural

eye

cannot

seeβ€”

the

eternal

side

of

life. β€Ž

Many

people

prepare

carefully

for

this

present

life

but

make

little

preparation

for

eternity. β€Ž

Jesus

asked

in

Mark 8:36: β€Žβ€œ

For

what

shall

it

profit

a

man,

if

he

shall

gain

the

whole

world,

and

lose

his

own

soul?” β€Ž

The

greatest

question

is

not

only, β€œ

How

are

you

living

now?”

but β€œ

Where

will

you

spend

eternity?” β€Ž1.

There

Is

More

to

Life

Than

What

We

See β€Ž2

Corinthians 4:18 β€Žβ€œ

While

we

look

not

at

the

things

which

are

seen,

but

at

the

things

which

are

not

seen…” β€Ž

The

physical

world

is

temporary.

What

we

see

today

will

eventually

pass

away. β€Ž

Your

money

can

disappear. β€Ž

Your

position

can

change. β€Ž

Your

body

will

become

weak. β€Ž

Your

earthly

possessions

will

remain

behind. β€Ž

But

your

soul

is

eternal. β€Ž

Prayer: β€Žβ€œ

Lord,

help

me

not

to

become

so

attached

to

temporary

things

that

I

forget

eternal

things.” β€Ž2.

Death

Is

Not

the

End

of

Existence β€Ž

Hebrews 9:27 β€Žβ€œ

And

as

it

is

appointed

unto

men

once

to

die,

but

after

this

the

judgment.” β€Ž

The

Bible

does

not

teach

that

death

is

the

end.

Death

is

a

transition

from

this

earthly

existence

into

eternity. β€Ž

This

is

why

we

must

take

our

spiritual

lives

seriously. β€Ž

Nobody

knows

exactly

when

their

earthly

journey

will

end.

Therefore,

today

is

the

day

to

prepare. β€Ž

Amos 4:12: β€Žβ€œ

Prepare

to

meet

thy

God.” β€Ž3.

The

Story

of

the

Rich

Man

and

Lazarus β€Ž

Read

Luke 16:19–31. β€Ž

Jesus

told

the

story

of

a

rich

man

and

Lazarus. β€Ž

The

rich

man

had

everything

on

this

side

of

lifeβ€”

clothing,

food

and

comfort. β€Ž

Lazarus

had

almost

nothing. β€Ž

But

something

happened

that

changed

everything: β€Žβ€œ

The

rich

man

also

died,

and

was

buried.” β€”

Luke 16:22 β€Ž

On

earth,

the

rich

man

appeared

to

be

winning. β€Ž

But

on

the

other

side,

the

situation

was

completely

different. β€Ž

This

teaches

us

something

powerful: β€Ž

Earthly

circumstances

do

not

determine

eternal

destiny. β€Ž

You

may

be

poor

today

and

still

have

eternal

riches. β€Ž

You

may

be

wealthy

today

and

still

be

spiritually

bankrupt. β€Ž

You

may

be

rejected

by

people

but

accepted

by

God. β€Ž

Therefore,

don't

measure

your

life

only

by

what

is

happening

on

this

side. β€Ž4.

Your

Soul

Is

More

Valuable

Than

Your

Possessions β€Ž

Mark 8:36–37 β€Žβ€œ

For

what

shall

it

profit

a

man,

if

he

shall

gain

the

whole

world,

and

lose

his

own

soul?” β€Ž

Imagine

gaining

everything

but

losing

your

soul. β€Ž

You

can

have: β€Ž

A

successful

business β€Ž

A

beautiful

house β€Ž

A

good

car β€Ž

A

powerful

position β€Ž

Fame β€Ž

Money β€Ž

Many

friends β€Ž

But

if

you

lose

your

relationship

with

God,

you

have

lost

what

matters

most. β€Ž

Never

sacrifice

eternity

for

temporary

pleasure. β€Ž5.

There

Will

Be

a

Day

of

Accountability β€Ž

Romans 14:12 β€Žβ€œ

So

then

every

one

of

us

shall

give

account

of

himself

to

God.” β€Ž

One

day

we

will

answer

to

God. β€Ž

Not

your

pastor. β€Ž

Not

your

parents. β€Ž

Not

your

friends. β€Ž

You. β€Ž

What

did

you

do

with

the

life

God

gave

you? β€Ž

How

did

you

treat

people? β€Ž

Did

you

forgive? β€Ž

Did

you

serve

God? β€Ž

Did

you

use

your

gifts

for

His

glory? β€Ž

Did

you

accept

Christ? β€Ž6.

Eternity

Has

Two

Destinations β€Ž

Jesus

spoke

about

eternal

consequences. β€Ž

Matthew 25:46 β€Žβ€œ

And

these

shall

go

away

into

everlasting

punishment:

but

the

righteous

into

life

eternal.” β€Ž

The

Bible

presents

eternity

seriously. β€Ž

There

is

eternal

life

with

God,

and

there

is

eternal

separation

from

God. β€Ž

Therefore,

salvation

is

not

something

to

postpone. β€Žβ€œ

Behold,

now

is

the

accepted

time;

behold,

now

is

the

day

of

salvation.” β€Ž7.

How

Should

We

Live

on

This

Side? β€Ž

A.

Live

for

Christ β€Ž

Philippians 1:21 β€Žβ€œ

For

to

me

to

live

is

Christ,

and

to

die

is

gain.” β€Ž

Let

Christ

become

the

center

of

your

life. β€Ž

B.

Keep

Your

Heart

Right β€Ž

Matthew 5:8 β€Žβ€œ

Blessed

are

the

pure

in

heart:

for

they

shall

see

God.” β€Ž

Don't

allow

bitterness,

hatred,

unforgiveness

and

sin

to

control

your

heart. β€Ž

C.

Forgive

People β€Ž

Life

is

too

short

to

carry

hatred. β€Ž

Release

those

who

hurt

you. β€Ž

D.

Serve

God

With

Your

Time β€Ž

Ephesians 5:16 β€Žβ€œ

Redeeming

the

time,

because

the

days

are

evil.” β€Ž

Your

time

on

earth

is

limited.

Use

it

wisely. β€Ž

E.

Win

Souls β€Ž

Proverbs 11:30 β€Žβ€œ

He

that

winneth

souls

is

wise.” β€Ž

Don't

only

pursue

blessings.

Help

somebody

find

Christ. β€Ž8.

Don't

Wait

Until

the

Other

Side

to

Realize

What

Matters β€Ž

The

rich

man

in

Luke 16

wanted

his

brothers

to

receive

a

warning. β€Ž

But

it

was

too

late

for

him

to

return. β€Ž

That

is

why

today

matters. β€Ž

If

there

is

someone

you

need

to

forgiveβ€”

do

it. β€Ž

If

there

is

something

you

need

to

repent

fromβ€”

repent. β€Ž

If

you

have

drifted

away

from

Godβ€”

return. β€Ž

If

you

have

never

accepted

Jesus

Christβ€”

receive

Him. β€Ž

Don't

wait

until

your

earthly

journey

ends. β€Ž

Powerful

Conclusion β€Ž

The

other

side

of

life

is

real. β€Ž

One

day,

every

earthly

title

will

disappear. β€Ž

The

businessman

will

leave

the

business
