We Stand as Bearers of His Power
(To the tune of a bold, resolute hymn)
Verse 1
We stand as bearers of His power,
The royal priesthood of our King,
To face the dark, tumultuous hour,
And songs of faith and triumph sing.
Though perilous the days appear,
And fiery darts of sin find youth,
We cast away all doubt and fear,
Encircled by the shield of Truth.
Verse 2
With loins well-girt and breastplate bright,
Our feet are shod with gospel peace,
We march as children of the light,
Whose sacred covenants increase.
The Word of Wisdom guards our way,
From binding chains of vice set free,
As tithing, prayer, and word each day
Secure our soul's true liberty.
Verse 3
In holy places we abide,
To temples high we lift our eyes,
Where consecration is our guide,
And eternal families shall arise.
We walk the strait and narrow path,
With agency to choose the right,
Escaping all the adversary's wrath,
Endowed with majesty and might.
Verse 4
Go forward, youth, with hearts aligned,
To learn His word, His grace receive,
With strength of body, soul, and mind,
As "Come, and follow Me" we live.
In quorums, classes, families strong,
We rise to serve, self-reliant, bold,
And join the vast, celestial throng
Within the Savior’s holy fold.
